Jeb is the father of Ari, and he pretty much raised the flock for the beginning parts of their lives, and taught them everything they know. Max really looked up to Jeb and he was the Father in her life. He works at the school, and has always been telling Max that it is her destiny to save the world, and that everything is a test for Max.
